Nacida el 12 de febrero de 1977 en La Habana, Cuba.
Vive y trabaja en Berlín.

Daniellis Hernández Calderón es licenciada en Sociología por la Universidad de La Habana. En 2007 se graduó de la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, como Realizadora de documentales. Realizó una Maestría en Arte en Contexto en la Universidad de las Artes de Berlín.
Vive y trabaja en Berlín como artista, activista y curadora. En su trabajo explora posibilidades de reinvención del pasado y toma, como material sensible para construir su obra, aquellas memorias producidas y nutridas en la coexistencia, solidaridad, luchas y resistencias de migrantes, diaspóricos y discriminados, pero no derrotados, cuerpos.

Daniellis Hernandez Calderon is a BA in Sociology from the University of Havana. In 2007 she graduated from the International Film and television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, as Documentary filmmaker. She holds a Master in Art in Context by University of Arts, Berlin.
She lives and works in Berlin as an artist, activist, and curator. In her work she explores possibilities of reinvention of the past and takes, as sensitive material to build her work, those memories produced and nourished in the coexistence, solidarity, struggles and resistance of migrated, diasporic and discriminated, but not defeated, bodies.
